Zip Co has become an Accelerate partner in the Adobe Exchange Partner Program, to further the global expansion of buy now pay later (BNPL) and provide flexible, digital payment options to Magento’s network of merchants.
Magento is a commerce platform that blends digital commerce, order management, and predictive intelligence to enable online shopping. Adobe offers an enterprise-level, cloud-hosted application, Magento Commerce, as well as a free ecommerce solution, Magento Open Source and serves companies of all sizes with flexible, digital commerce solutions to sell across channels.
As an Accelerate partner, Zip’s BNPL financing solutions will be marketed directly to thousands of Magento merchants around the world. Zip offers point-of-sale credit and digital payment services to industries including retail, home, health, automotive and travel.
Zip co-founder and chief operating officer, Peter Gray said Adobe is a global leader in digital commerce and this collaboration will help the company reach thousands of merchants and their customers with a better way to pay.
“With partners like Adobe, we are well on our way to making Zip the first payment choice, everywhere and every day,” he said.
Adobe vice president for commerce product and platform, Jason Woosley said while brands are looking for ways to engage customers with new experiences, the realities of Covid-19 have catapulted digital commerce technologies to the forefront of the market.
“Consumers love installment payment solutions because they’re fast, fair and interest-free. Zip enables Magento merchants globally to implement these capabilities effortlessly at checkout, improving cash flow, increasing order value, and keeping customers coming back again and again,” he said.
Zip partners with THG
Zip also recently announced its partnership with THG to provide interest-free payments over four installments to customers shopping on THG sites and with brands using the THG Ingenuity end-to-end ecommerce platform.
In a multi-market agreement, Zip will be a payment option at checkout across THG’s sites in the UK, the US, Australia and New Zealand, including LOOKFANTASTIC, Myprotein and Zavvi.
Zip will also integrate with THG Ingenuity, allowing the growing number of brands choosing the platform for their own direct-to-consumer sales to offer Zip’s interest-free payment option. Through a simple integration and Zip’s global scale, retailers on the platform can seamlessly switch on Zip and serve customers internationally.
Zip UK managing director, Anthony Drury said, “We’re growing rapidly in the UK and our partnership with THG only confirms our intention. There is an increasing appetite among retailers to embed BNPL payment domestically and internationally. Our flexible products are accessible across many retail sectors from fashion, health & beauty and groceries to homeware, entertainment, sport and travel.”
THG Ingenuity CEO, John Gallemore said, “Our collaboration with Zip allows us to further expand the payment options that we offer THG Ingenuity clients and THG’s own brands, ultimately giving greater choice and flexibility to consumers anywhere in the world.”
