Melbourne-based fintech start-up, 1receipt has successfully onboarded Coles as its first major retail chain by integrating it into 1receipt, without any changes to its existing point-of-sale (POS) process.

1receipt is a digital platform that helps retailers and customers switch from paper receipts to a contactless digital receipt that can be stored and managed in a mobile app.

Shoppers can now link their Coles account to 1receipt and at checkout, scan a single barcode from the app or digital wallet to receive a paperless receipt, all within 1receipt.

1receipt founder, Shahryar Faraji said, “I’ve been eagerly anticipating this moment, and I’m thrilled to announce that customers can link their Coles account directly with the 1receipt app for a seamless and fully paperless checkout experience. This means Coles receipts will be automatically saved and accessible in one secure place.

“No more paper, no more hassle – just a smooth experience that makes life easier and helps reduce waste.”

By the end of 2023, 1receipt had integrated into all leading POS providers in Australia, supporting various industries including apparel, grocery and pharmaceuticals.

More enterprise retail integrations are coming to the app in 2025.
