Coles and Nestlé are partnering with Australian Red Cross to help get Australians emergency-ready this September.

The collaboration aims to promote emergency preparedness for both individuals and communities, providing the skills, resources and knowledge required to prepare effectively for emergencies and overcome unexpected challenges.

Coles Group general manager of corporate and Indigenous affairs, Sally Fielke commented, “Coles has a long and proud history of supporting disaster relief efforts in Australia, providing essential supplies to support emergency services and vulnerable communities and raising funds in times of need.

“Coles is delighted to partner with Nestlé and Australian Red Cross to help local communities, team members and customers get emergency-ready this September by raising awareness in Coles stores across Australia.”

Nestlé Australia director of sales, Iain Shedden said, “At Nestlé we’re passionate about making a positive impact in the communities we serve across Australia. We’re committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals and families and offering aid in times of crisis.

“We welcome this opportunity to partner with Coles and Australian Red Cross. To boost the impact of the partnership, Nestlé Australia is supporting the Australian Red Cross with $100,000 to help Australians affected by disasters.”

Australian Red Cross director of national emergency services, Nichola Krey added, “Working with partners like Nestlé Australia and Coles helps us foster a culture of preparedness in Australia, especially during EmergencyRedi Week, which falls in September.

“EmergencyRedi Week is a dedicated time for Australians to increase their awareness and take action by completing an emergency RediPlan, so they can face future emergencies with confidence. With Coles and Nestlé Australia amplifying the importance of being ready, we hope that people will take time this month to make sure they’re prepared.”
