To celebrate International Women’s Day, SAP Emarsys recently hosted a lunch event at The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney with 60 attendees representing retail brands including El Jannah, IKEA and Temple & Webster, among others.
The theme for the event was the Global UN Women’s IWD Theme of Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.
The lunch incorporated a panel session with three female leaders, moderated by SAP Emarsys regional vice president of revenue for Asia Pacific & Japan, Silvana Tagand. Panellists included THE ICONIC chief marketing officer, Joanna Robinson, Krispy Kreme ecommerce and digital marketing lead, Carolina de Figueiredo and Pet Circle vice president of commercial & FP&A, Nan Meka.
The trio shared their personal journey to leadership and factors that accelerated their growth and supported their progress. Other discussion points centred around the importance of investing in women to accelerate progress, empowering and elevating women both personally and professionally, and the emerging trends for advancing opportunities for women.
