Global privately-owned technology company, Zoho Corporation, is celebrating 25 years in business and has marked the occasion with a commitment to open 100 new offices around the world in the next three years.
Zoho has grown into a multinational technology corporation with more than 9,000 employees serving more than 62 million users worldwide. In Australia, its user base has grown to more than 600,000 since launching in the region two years ago.
Zoho’s communication, collaboration, and other remote-work tools have proven highly valuable for customers, especially during the pandemic. Since inception, Zoho has remained profitable, growing on average 30% year-over-year for the past five years, while providing powerful yet affordable software to customers.
Zoho CEO and co-founder, Sridhar Vembu believes in technology as a facilitator of social good and has built a business culture rooted in those values.
“Our purpose at Zoho is to create opportunity for people who do not have it, and to create compelling software for customers who could not otherwise afford it,” he said.
“We call the philosophy behind opening these new offices ‘transnational localism’ as it will create sustainable local economies in primarily rural areas that have not seen or taken part in the technological revolution before.”
To support its vision of uplifting local economies and empowering local communities, Zoho has added two new offices in the rural Texas towns of New Braunfels and Bastrop; an office in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; as well as two in San Juan Del Rio and Tequisquiapan, Mexico.
In South India alone, Zoho has 15 functional offices with six more currently under construction. The company will also continue to expand in various locations throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.
“I’m proud that Zoho has delivered on its vision for 25 years and am looking forward to seeing our values continue to carry us through the next 25 and beyond. An important part of our path forward is job creation and bringing opportunity to talent, wherever that may be. By planting 100 offices around the globe, Zoho will change people’s lives and their surrounding communities,” Vembu said.
