Global Australian-founded tea brand T2 has partnered with local start-up, Greener to help customers reduce their carbon impact.

T2 will become a founding retail and brand partner of Greener as every T2 purchase is automatically turned carbon neutral through Greener. T2 also has B Corp certification and extensive track record of sustainability, inclusivity, and social responsibility credentials.

The Greener app provides shoppers with personalised recommendations for more sustainable stores and when supported by members, Greener purchases carbon neutral credits to help reforest Australia. If all T2 customers signed up to the Greener app in Australia, the benefits in carbon credits over a one-year period would have the same effect as taking two million cars off the road.

T2 global managing director, Derek Muirhead said the brand has been on a journey over the past few years to put sustainability at the core of the business.

“As part of the Greener community, we are helping drive a new economy, one that brings greener businesses and consumers together to repair the planet. As a B Corp certified business, this new partnership is just one of the ways we continue to deepen our commitment to our sustainability goals and help improve the health of the planet,” he said.

Greener founder and CEO, Tom Ferrier said T2 is already reducing emissions and waste, adopting more eco-friendly packaging materials and generally being a responsible business.

“As a B Corp-certified company ethically sourcing its teas and with an ambitious but realisable carbon reduction target, T2 and Greener represent a match made in heaven,” he said.

T2 will be participating in a Greener webinar on 2nd September focused on how businesses can benefit from participating in the green economy.
