Having been in business for over 30 years, I’ve supported retail fashion, beauty and homeware brands by shifting their inventory, freeing up their shelf space and budgets, to continually bring in new season stock for their customers with millions of dollars’ worth of stock passing through warehouses, clients’ warehouses and online sites.
During the challenges presented by the Covid pandemic, my long-term, highly successful business model was challenged due to lockdowns and physical distancing rules, so I set about successfully pivoting my business towards coaching others in starting or rescuing their own business on a full-time basis.
Meanwhile, my commitment to wholesalers continued and I advertised warehouse sales to many customers and assisted other businesses to embrace the wholesale methodology as a successful sales strategy.
I have recently been named as a finalist in seven different categories in the prestigious 2024 AusMumpreneur Awards.
Having won awards in 2019, 2020 and 2021, I declined my nomination in 2023 as I restructured and worked as an AusMumpreneur judge that year. Now I’m back with seven different finalist places in 2024:
- AusMumpreneur of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- People’s Choice – Business Coach
- People’s Choice – Business
- Retail Business Award
- Business Pivot Award
- Fashion Award
What has a lifetime of business and the recent challenges of the Covid pandemic taught me?
Never take your business for granted. Always keep learning and never be scared to pivot or change direction. Our minds are the most powerful thing we own, even if everything else fails, our minds can help us adjust, recreate and be even more successful than we were.
My greatest achievements have been opening up businesses for my clients and making their dreams become reality, along with helping other clients pull their businesses back from the brink of liquidation and restoring and growing them, even when it seemed impossible.
Working with wholesalers to help them find new customers is another passion of mine and making the wholesale industry pivot to digital advertising is my greatest strength.
Unfortunately, many business owners become so stressed and unsure of themselves that they lose the ability to see clearly and make good decisions. I help them to rediscover their business’ strengths and markets and support them to drive growth and fall back in love with their business again.
I have built up a wonderful and loyal following over the years. As a result, I have amassed a huge following online. I advertise direct-to-public warehouse sales and online sales so that my 500k customers have the opportunity to buy items heavily discounted.
I believe we should all be able to look and feel special and this should not just be based on the price we pay.
