Panasonic launches new digital signs

Panasonic Australia has launched a professional digital signage and business display panel series, offering class-leading reliability, bright and vivid picture quality, and exceptional flexibility.

 The series includes the 500 cd/m² LF8 (42˝, 49˝, 55˝), and entry-level 350 cd/m² LFE8 (43˝, 48˝, 55˝, 65˝) Full HD displays with LED backlight.

 The LF8 features robust IPS panel technology for off-axis visibility and excellent resistance to image burn-in, and is engineered for continuous 24/7 operation. It offers a bezel width of just 6.5 mm, depth of less than 60 mm, daisy-chain capability via DVI-D for up to 10 displays, and USB cloning. Quick Failover and Failback automatically detects and switches to an alternative input if the video signal to the primary input is interrupted.

 The LFE8 series has a LED backlight for high picture quality and low energy usage. Displays can be configured in 5 x 5 multi-screen videowalls by zoom in function and feature a bezel width of 7.5 mm[i], portrait mode[ii] capability, and USB cloning.

 To reduce cabling complexity and eliminate the need for set-top boxes, Panasonic has added a Simple Signage Player aboard all displays that can decode a variety of video formats from USB memory devices. Together with a 5 V outlet to power USB PCs and external media players, LAN, RS232C, IR in/out, and HDMI, a self-contained digital signage system is simple to set up and manage. Both models include 10 W + 10 W internal speakers.
