DoorDash is expanding its offering across Tasmania, with the launch of alcohol delivery, allowing customers in the state to order alcoholic drinks, with dinner and groceries on the app, all powered by DoorDash.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for DoorDash as it expands the market for third-party alcohol delivery across Tasmania. DoorDash customers in Tasmania will be able to order from BWS’s 18 stores.
DoorDash Australia general manager, Puji Fernando said, “We’re thrilled to launch alcohol delivery in Tasmania. Now customers have more choice; whether it’s their favourite local restaurant, a mid-week top-up grocery shop or now; restocking the fridge with their favourite alcohol beverages from BWS.”
BWS managing director, Scott Davidson added, “We are excited to partner with DoorDash to bring our wide range of beverages to customers in Tasmania. At BWS, we are passionate about providing our customers with a seamless convenient experience and the partnership with DoorDash will help us achieve exactly that.”
DoorDash’s alcohol delivery service is already live in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and the Australian Capital Territory.
To ensure responsible service and compliance with legal regulations, DoorDash will implement a market-leading age verification solution for alcohol delivery. Customers will be prompted for ID verification both at checkout and upon delivery at the door.
