Mosaic Brands has opened a new purpose built 9,600 square metre fulfilment centre in Sydney’s Marsden Park.
Mosaic owns and operates nine retail-clothing brands within Australia and New Zealand and the fulfilment centre was built to support its growing online division and service its network of circa 1,000 stores from one central location.
“Over the years, the Group has made multiple brand acquisitions and we have inherited various warehouse contracts that caused our overall business to be operating out of multiple sites,” Mosaic Brands CEO, Scott Evans said.
“I am proud that notwithstanding the challenges created through the past two years, our team has achieved a tremendous milestone by delivering this world class fulfilment centre that will benefit all customers shopping across all brands.”
The fulfilment centre also supports the Group’s growth strategy, enabling the business to expand its product offering over the next three years with potential to add more robotics to the site as volume increases.
At its optimum, the site can hold up to five million units across 250,000 products and dispatch up to 15,000 orders per day.
“Our mantra is to put the customer at the heart of everything we do, and this site is allowing us keep up with the growing demand of our online business. To date this year, we have delivered over 1.4 million orders averaging a dispatch time of 48 hours,” Evans added.
