Australian fashion brand, Witchery has partnered with B Corp, GlamCorner to support the shift to a more circular fashion industry and help reduce textile waste.
Witchery customers are now able to rent more everyday looks via GlamCorner’s Subscription Membership from workwear and casual clothing to maternity looks.
Witchery head of marketing, Nicky Rowsell said the retailer is delighted to align with GlamCorner to provide everyday outfitting solutions and 24/7 style to their loyal customers.
“The past year has seen our customer’s engagement with fashion shift, and not only does GlamCorner’s innovative subscription model allow customers to access numerous styles on their terms, it also allows them to support the circular fashion economy and significantly reduce the impact of new or unused clothing in their wardrobe,” she said.
“As part of our Good Business Journey, Witchery is committed to working on new and interesting ways to be more circular as a business. Partnering with GlamCorner to extend the life cycle of Witchery pieces via the rental market is an exciting step forward in reducing our fashion footprint and making a positive impact to the environment we live and work in.”
GlamCorner co-founder and chief operating officer, Audrey Khaing-Jones said demand for everyday essentials through the rental subscription box has surged.
“There has been a huge increase in workwear separates with skirts, tops, suits, coats and jackets averaging a 200% increase year-on-year,” she said.
“Working with Witchery helps cater to the demand for more rental solutions and accelerate to a more circular fashion economy. We’ve shared 500 tonnes of clothing to date and every new partnership takes us one step closer to our goal of tackling Australia’s mounting textile waste problem.”
